Our budget was tight but we manage to somehow make it feel like it was the best xmas ever complete with a real tree , scrumptious diner & presents for everyone.
The weather made the planning a little complicated and some of the presents that we ordered online did not make it in time ( thanks a lot UPS!!). But now we know that we have to place our order at least 3 weeks before xmas to avoid any possible delays.
The kids had the most fun ( as it should be ) and the adults were just glad that it's finally over ( if only we can skip xmas....but you just can't...how could you??..there's no way to hide from it...money or no money...you gotta have xmas ).
So now we get ready to welcome the New Year.
To me this is the most exciting part of the year.
There's is nothing like the insane , almost lethal celebration of the New Year's eve
in the Philippines. That is the thing I miss the most.
It is so quiet here to almost deafening effect:(
But what's important is your love ones..
The ones that you hold the dearest are with you and you can look back & be thankful to the Lord for the wonderful family you have , the warm & cozy home , friends that enriches your life , job that not only put food on the table but also secure the future and most of all , the children..another year that they have grown.I hope I have taken enough pictures of their youth to remind me when I'm old...how they smile , laugh , cry ..how happy they make me even without trying ..aaahhhh...those precious years.
I am also most thankful for my dear husband , my partner in crime , my best friend.Sure there were ups & downs but that's what makes us stronger. He ask what do I want for xmas...I can't think of any..I guess because I was already looking at it.
Cheesy...yeah...I know :)
I can't wait for the brand New Year.
Hopefully , it'll be smooth & peaceful not just for me but to all.
Picture Galore!
