His First Day At The Oval Office

I am so proud and elated that Mr. Obama is now the new President. I have followed his campaign since that day when Sen. Ted Kennedy gave such an energetic and powerful words of support for this candidate. I've listened to all of his major speeches ,tuned in to updates about the long primary , watch debate with his opponents . For over a year I have been one of those many supporters who quietly prays for his success and safety of his life.

I know there is something special about this man and over 60 million people who voted for him thought the same. I hope he continues to inspire people and lead this nation to a new and better direction. My solemn prayers that he be kept away from any harm, blessing for more wisdom and clear mind and most of all I hope he succeed on this long and perilous journey ahead.
God Bless You Mr. President Obama. God Bless your family and God Bless your administration and God Bless this country that I now call home.

Back To School And Pinoy Birthday Party

That's me quietly screaming inside my head.

When kids graduate from school, parents should get a diploma too . If you think about it, it's like we , the parents , go to school as well. We wake up early, get the kids clothes ready, give them bath ,dress them up , prepare breakfast, fix their lunchbox , brush and do their hair , tie their shoes,walk/drive them to school, pick them up , help them do their home work, help w/ school projects, give money to school fund raising, attend meetings...whew!! And what do we get in the end?? Nothing.
The children at least learned some things. Life is not fair isn't it?

Due to snowy & icy Holidays, school winter break was an extra week long. First it was making me antsy ..you know...being stuck inside your home, can't open windows, can't walk outside with out freezing your butt off, then I was getting used to it. Eating left over from holiday dinner, watching TV show marathon, wearing flannel pajamas all day long..then all of a sudden , it's all over!! . When my alarm went off at 6:30 this morning , I thought I was having a nightmare. Whole body aches trying to get off of after having only 4 hours of sleep. My only consolation is that there was no more snow out on the street.Still it was too cold for my tropical skin...oh its sucks...but hey....whatever .

That Helps Mommy Get In To A Better Mood

Saturday, Me & Princess got to attend the birthday bash of our friend , Jiara. She turned 7 and it was amazing how fast time fly. I discovered Jiara's mom & dad through Friendster and they invited me to Jiara's 5th bday party so we could meet for the first time. They were really nice & funny people and we've been friends since then. One thing I gotta say..Iba talaga pag pinoy ang nag party...masaya talaga at ang daming handa. Their non-filipino guests were having such a great time coz they stayed till the party ended. Lorelie & Nial did a great job planning the event under tight budget ( goodies & give aways were from Dollar Store..but you can never tell),the party was held at their apartment complex club house so it was rent-free ,their family members chipped in with food & drinks ( w/c is so pinoy anyway..we love bringing food to parties). We had a great time!! Now I wish every party I go to are Pinoy Parties only.
